Wood Carving & Basic Woodworking. (Closed May 21) Join us for a creative 10-week woodworking adventure at the Wild Ones Clubhouse, located on our beautiful 1-acre property just minutes from Crescent Park, surrounded by forest trails and creeks. During each 2-hour class, children will explore nature while learning the basics of wood carving and woodworking. Using real tools such as carving knives, hand saws, hammers, and nails, students will create their own wooden projects while developing confidence, patience, and practical skills. Our classes are kept small with a low child-to-educator ratio, allowing for extra supervision when learning new tools. Classes take place both in our workshop and outdoors, and run rain or shine, so please dress your child for the weather. What to Bring • Weather-appropriate clothing • Snack and water bottle • Closed-toe shoes or boots Your Outdoor Educators MRS HOLLY: Founder of Wild Ones Art Club, gallery artist, Licensed Outdoor Early Childhood Educator, and homeschool mom with over 9 years of experience working with children. MS ASHLIEGH: Outdoor Early Childhood Educator with 14+ years of experience and a passion for local "fauna and flora" (animals and plants), and child-led learning. Her empathy and kindness shine through in everything she does. BRANDON: Homeschool dad (Mrs Holly's husband) and woodworker. All 3 educators have up to date First Aid and CRC. Spots are limited and tend to fill quickly. Early registration is recommended.
