About Us

There's a reason we're called "WILD ONES" Art Club! We are so much more than just an Art Club. We thrive on nature, free play, and forest exploration. Children's brains are developing at an incredible pace, and as early childhood educators, our mission is to nurture this growth. At Wild Ones, we focus on cultivating social, emotional, linguistic, cognitive, and physical skills, while sparking creativity, curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Above all, we aim to instill a life long love for learning.

We acknowledge that our work and gatherings take place on the unceded traditional territories of the Kwantlen, Katzie, Semiahmoo, and Tsawwassen First Nations. As we explore and learn in nature each day, we honor their deep connections to this land and water, and we strive to walk with respect, curiosity, and care as we learn from their enduring stewardship.

Holly Bromely Journey Sticks

Meet Ms. Holly!
Founder - Creative Director

We are excited to introduce you to the founder of the club, Holly Bromley. Her three main passions in life are nature, art, and teaching children.

Holly is a dedicated homeschool mom, an early childhood educator, and a nature-inspired professional artist. Her artwork has been exhibiting at Fine Art Galleries in Vancouver since 2018.  (view here)

Holly has been teaching arts and crafts to children of all ages since 2017, including three years working at a beautiful outdoor forest school which deepened her love for outdoor education.

When creating, she loves incorporating earths natural resources and repurposing recycled materials as often as possible. She often makes her own paints by using plants, clay, minerals, roots, flowers, berries, and vegetables.

Holly founded Wild Ones Art Club from her desire to create a space where children could explore their creativity, enjoy play-based learning, and form a deeper connection with nature. To bring this vision to life, she collaborated with a team of experts—including an architect, engineer, occupational therapist, and play therapist—to design the club’s creative curriculum.

Join us as we explore this colourful and wild world, where children, art, and nature come together!

Is Wild Ones Art Club Right for Your Family?

A Note for Curious Parents / Guardians

Welcome to Wild Ones Art Club. A space where creativity runs wild, art has no limits, and child development is always the heart of everything we do.

🌿 We blend guidance with creative freedom.

While our projects may start with structure, we always leave room for creative freedom. We teach new skills and techniques while encouraging personal exploration. There is no right or wrong way to make art, and our little Wild Ones know that to their core.

🎨 Your child might not come home with a Picasso... or maybe they will.

All we know is they’ll come home with something truly meaningful. It might be an amazing robot or beautiful painting, or it might end up as an equally amazing blob, splatter, or a muddy stick sculpture. Each piece reflects each child's unique journey and voice.

🌈 We welcome all kinds of art (and all kinds of children).

Purple trees? Spiky clouds? Upside-down worlds? Yes, yes, and absolutely yes!  Before every class, we ask the children...

"Is there a wrong way to make art?"   "NO!"

"If we're making circles and we look around and see a pancake circle, a spikey circle, and a wibbly-wobbly circle...are any of them wrong?"   "NO!"

And why is that?   "Because there is no wrong way to make art!!!"

This allows children to feel free by removing perfectionism and comparing. We encourage our friend's creativity and differences,

Not only in art,  but as individuals.

Our Approach Supports:

Neural Development: Strengthening brain connections through hands-on exploration

Cognitive Growth: Enhancing focus, memory, and problem-solving

Spatial Intelligence: Understanding how objects and ideas relate

Emotional Regulation: Creating safe space for expression through art

Language Development: Building communication through storytelling

Celebrating Differences: Encouraging every voice and perspective

And SO much more!!

What We Believe

Art should be free of "walls" (in our case, literally and figuratively).

Children thrive with creative freedom and guidance.

Blobs, messes, and magical ideas are always welcome.

Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued just as they are.

If you're hoping for art that looks like it was made by an adult, you might be disaponted.

But if you're looking for a program that values your child's imagination, growth, brain development and self-expression...this is for you.

Be wild. Be messy. Be you.

What is S.T.E.A.M?

S.T.E.A.M is an educational approach that aims to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and innovation by combining five different subject areas:

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics

S.T.E.A.M based craft classes provide a fun and playful way for children to explore their creativity and let their imagination run wild. With experiential learning, children can develop new skills and knowledge through trial and error, while also enhancing important problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This is a highly effective way to develop new skills and knowledge while having a blast by making things with their own two hands.

Crafting with Nature and Recycled Items

Why is "UPCYCLING" important for crafting?

  • It's good for the planet to repurpose/upcycle recycled items.

  • It teaches kids valuable life lessons: You don't need fancy supplies to be creative, and you can create something beautiful out of anything!

  • It introduces them to the mindset and skills one needs to solve real world problems to think outside the box. Real world problems are never perfectly packaged for you!

  • It teaches the 'Recycling Crafter's Mindset':
If you don't have a specific material on hand for your craft, applying a "what else can I use" mindset is vital for creativity and problem solving.

  • It encourages community, friends and family involvement.
Get your family, friends, students and community to help you collect! It feels good to be involved and able to contribute.
